Enabling Slack Notifications
You must be a Slack and ConnectedFresh admin to set up this Slack integration
Create a channel in Slack
Open Slack Application
In channels click on + button
Add Name
Add Description (optional)
Make private (optional - Private channel can only be joined or viewed by invitation)
You have successfully created a new channel that alerts will be sent to.
Create App Integration
You may need administrator privileges from Slack to perform the next function, dependent on your organization’s Slack configuration.
Open Slack API portal in browser
Login with your organization credentials
Click Create new app
Select 'From Scratch' option
Specify App Name
Pick your workspace from drop down selection
Click 'Create App'
You can name this anything, but we recommend ‘ConnectedFresh Alerts - [Location]'
You have successfully created an internal application that will allow receipt of incoming ConnectedFresh alerts.
Setup Webhook
Click on ‘Incoming Webhooks’
Enable ‘Activate Incoming Webhooks’
Scroll down and click ‘Add New Webhook to Workspace’
Select channel created in step 2 in Slack application
Click ‘Allow’ (This will enable any message sent to this webhook to be published in the mapped Slack channel)
Scroll down to copy Webhook URL
You have successfully assigned notifications from this application to this channel.
Send Webhook URL to ConnectedFresh Support
Support will set up the final steps of your Slack integration. Email support@connectedfresh.com and include the following:
- Webhook URL
- Store/Location
