Enabling Slack Notifications

You must be a Slack and ConnectedFresh admin to set up this Slack integration

Create a channel in Slack

1. Open Slack Application

2. In channels click on + button

3. Add Name

4. Add Description (optional)

5. Make private (optional - Private channel can only be joined or viewed by invitation)

You have successfully created a new channel that alerts will be sent to.

You may need administrator privileges from Slack to perform the next function, dependent on your organization’s Slack configuration.

1. Open Slack API portal in browser

2. Login with your organization credentials

3. Click Create new app

4. Select 'From Scratch' option

5. Specify App Name

6. Pick your workspace from drop down selection

7. Click 'Create App'

You can name this anything, but we recommend ‘ConnectedFresh Alerts - [Location]'

You have successfully created an internal application that will allow receipt of incoming ConnectedFresh alerts.

1. Click on ‘Incoming Webhooks’

2. Enable ‘Activate Incoming Webhooks’

3. Scroll down and click ‘Add New Webhook to Workspace’

4. Select channel created in step 2 in Slack application

5. Click ‘Allow’ (This will enable any message sent to this webhook to be published in the mapped Slack channel)

6. Scroll down to copy Webhook URL

You have successfully assigned notifications from this application to this channel.
