How to Report and Replace a Broken Probe
This article will guide you through the process of reporting, ordering, and replacing a damaged or broken sensor probe.
Reporting and Replacing a Broken Probe
If you find yourself with a damaged or broken probe, you should follow these steps to ensure a smooth replacement process:
- A member of your organization with authorized approval should reach out to your main contact or support@connectedfresh.com to begin the ordering process for a new probe.
- Once everything is confirmed, we'll promptly ship your new probe to you.
- Finally, if you are purchasing a new probe, there is no need to send the old one back. Be sure to dispose of the damaged probe safely.
For a TS302 temperature sensor's probe:
- The current probe available for your TS302 temperature sensor is either an AF10, a needle based sensor that sticks directly into your food product.
- Upon receiving your new probe, you will see a circular connector that you can plug into one end of your sensor. The probe and sensor connector both have grooves on the side that allow you to match it up and properly connect the two.
- Additionally, the antenna on the other end of your probe will come with a plastic cap attached to the end. Ensure that you have removed the cap before inserting the probe into your food product. Be sure not to dispose to the plastic cap, as you may need it to protect the end of the probe upon finishing a temperature reading.
