Setting Up Your DS03A-LB/LS Outdoor LoRaWAN Door Sensor: A Step-by-Step Guide

Unpacking Your Box
Your Dragino DS03A door sensor box will come with the following components:
- 1x door sensor
- Mounting hardware (screws or mounting tape)
Setting Up The DS03 Door Sensor
Step 1: Assemble and Mount the Sensor
- Attach the antenna to the top of the sensor by screwing it in securely.
- The Outdoor LoRaWAN Door Sensor can be mounted either on the door frame or directly on the door, depending on your preference. Use the provided mounting hardware to firmly secure the sensor in place.
Step 2: Activate the Sensor
- The door sensor communicates with the gateway over LoRaWAN. To activate the connection, press the "ACT" button for more than 3 seconds. The green LED will blink rapidly 5 times, indicating that the device is entering OTA mode for 3 seconds. Afterward, it will join the LoRaWAN network. Once connected, the green LED will turn solid for 5 seconds, confirming that the sensor is properly connected to the gateway.
Step 3: Verify Connection to Gateway
- The door sensor will communicate with the gateway over LoRaWAN. Verify that the door sensor is properly communicating with the gateway by checking the status indicator on the sensor. A blue LED light indicates that the sensor is connected to the gateway and working properly.
Step 4: Monitor Door Status
The door sensor will send door open and close status updates to the gateway. It will send data every 2 hours as well as for each door open/close action. You can monitor the status of your doors in real-time using the ConnectedFresh dashboard (https://my.connectedfresh.com/).
- This door sensor has an Open Alarm Feature. You can set this feature so the device will send an alarm if the door has been open for a certain time.
- This door sensor has a Datalog Feature. It can save the data when there is no LoRaWAN network and uplink when the network recovers.
