This guide explains how to attach a pre-configured Netgear LM1200 LTE modem to a pre-configured Milesight UG56 LoRaWAN Gateway to provide cellular internet connectivity for ConnectedFresh deployments.

Milesight UG56 LoRaWAN Gateway (pre-configured by ConnectedFresh)
Netgear LM1200 LTE Modem (SIM installed and pre-configured)
Ethernet cable (Inside modem box)
Power adapter (Inside modem box)
Power adapter UG56 (Separate box)
Modem to Gateway
Ensure both devices are powered OFF.
Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port of the LM1200 modem to the WAN/LAN port of the UG56 gateway.
Power ON the LM1200 modem first.

Wait 1–2 minutes until LTE status light indicates connectivity.
Power ON the UG56 gateway.

Plug both devices into a reliable wall outlet.
Avoid power strips shared with heavy machinery or refrigeration equipment.
Cellular Modem (LM1200)
Two cellular antennas are provided for this modem
Place near a window or open area for best cellular reception.
Avoid metal enclosures or basements.
LoRaWAN Gateway (UG56)
Mount antenna vertically for best sensor coverage.
Keep away from large metal surfaces and electronic interference.
Secure both devices in a protected indoor location.
Avoid exposure to water, heat, or vibration.
Label cables clearly for maintenance.
Cellular connection is already configured.
No Wi-Fi or Ethernet from the site is required.
Verify LTE signal lights are stable before proceeding.
After installation:
Allow up to 10 minutes for the gateway to appear online in the ConnectedFresh dashboard.
Confirm sensor data is flowing correctly.
Gateway not online
Confirm both devices have power.
Check Ethernet cable connection between modem and gateway.
Verify LTE signal indicator on LM1200 is active.
Reboot modem first, then gateway.
Weak or unstable connection
Move modem closer to a window.
Avoid placing near electrical panels or thick concrete walls.
